The ability to handle solid particles and the ability to reverse in case of a blockage as well as the ability to work in low temperatures makes the system well fitted for suction and pumping of oil in ice. The picture is taken when the Alaska North Slope Spill Response Team conducted the Course - Advanced Oil Spill Response in Ice Training at Cold Region Research and Engineering Laboratory in the USA. |
